Background and Interests: Father Vincent Hawk has served as the pastor of Holy Trinity Parish since July 2021, bringing with him a deep commitment to faith, community, and evangelization. Prior to his time at Holy Trinity, he spent 15 years at St. Peter Parish in Loudonville, Ohio, where he cultivated strong parish relationships and ministered to his congregation. In addition to his pastoral duties, he serves as the Chaplain for Catholic Campus Ministry at Ashland University and is the director of the Newman Campus Ministry for the Diocese of Cleveland. His leadership emphasizes building connections within the parish, encouraging active participation among students and parishioners, and he has even hired a director of evangelization to further these efforts.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Father Hawk's journey to the priesthood began in his formative years at St. Charles Borromeo and St. Matthias parishes in Parma. After his family moved to Broadview Heights, he graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School before pursuing higher education at John Carroll University. He continued his theological studies at St. Mary Seminary in Cleveland, where he discerned his calling to the priesthood. Ordained in 2002, Father Hawk has dedicated his ministry to guiding others in their spiritual journeys. His core belief—"We are called to know God, love God, and serve God"—serves as both his personal and pastoral mission, emphasizing the importance of faith, service, and community in an increasingly disconnected world.
Outside of his ministry, Father Hawk enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect his love for both sports and the outdoors. A passionate baseball fan, he avidly follows the Cleveland Guardians and finds joy in outdoor activities such as bicycling, canoeing, and kayaking, which allow him to appreciate nature and stay active. He also cherishes spending quality time with family and friends, further enriching his balanced approach to life and ministry. His well-rounded interests and enthusiasm for life make him a relatable and beloved leader within the Holy Trinity community.
